Celtic concluded their final game on the road during pre-season tonight with a 2-2 draw against Legia Warsaw in Artur Boruc’s final game of professional football.
It was a great showing from the Hoops in the first half as Postecoglou’s side moved the ball around well having great intent all across the pitch.
There wasn’t anything to praise in the second half showing after a number of substitutions which zapped Celtic’s play similar to the game on Saturday.
One of the players to highlight from the first half showing was midfielder Reo Hatate who was easily the best player on the park before he departed at half time.
His strike for the first goal was exceptional and a lot of praise must be given to Callum McGregor who produced a magnificent ball over the top of the Legia defence to pick out the 24-year old who stuck the ball past Boruc with ease.
It was a very similar assist to the pass the captain produced at Tannadice last December to pick out David Turnbull.
For the Hoops second goal it was once again Hatate who produced some magic to pick out Daizen Maeda with a terrific pass that split the Legia defence open to double Celtic’s lead.
Since signing for the Hoops in January, Hatate played an integral part in Postecoglou’s side as they went on to secure the league title.
He will be a big player for Celtic this season and it will be great to see how he continues to develop.
