JOHN HARTSON agrees with Chris Sutton that Celtic were up against two teams today; Hearts and VAR.
Some of the decisions made were laughable, to say the least. After a great game of football filled with goals, we’re sitting talking about a shambolic refereeing performance and an even worse performance from those operating VAR.
Speaking live on Sky Sports, Hartson exclaimed;
“Celtic had to beat two teams today, Hearts and the VAR Team.”
Celtic deserved the three points in the end, despite the shaky performance at the back. Three points return to Paradise with the team, but the VAR controversy that follows will overshadow the result.
Eilidh Barbour used the phrase ‘teething problems’ a few times, but teething problems aren’t stonewall penalties denied!

Hopefully, these mistakes will be irradiated, and decisions can be made a lot more efficiently without wasting more than ten minutes a match. It was a far from convincing debut for VAR on Saturday, with big questions being asked of the equipment.
