It’s the club that Celtic brought Ange to Celtic from, two-and-a-half years ago.

This potential move comes after a successful 18-month stint at Celtic, where Kewell has been working under managers Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers.

Kevin Muscat, Ange Postecoglou’s successor, left his job at Yokohama F Marinos on Thursday morning.

Japanese website Sponchi is very definitive with their language, labelling him “Yokohama’s new manager”.

Negotiations between Kewell and Yokohama F Marinos are progressing “smoothly”, according to the report from the Japanese media.

After retiring in 2014, Kewell ventured into management in England’s lower leagues before joining Celtic in 2022. At Celtic, he worked under Ange Postecoglou, who later moved to Tottenham, and continued under Rodgers.

At Celtic, Kewell has been particularly influential in developing wingers, with players like Luis Palma and Daizen Maeda benefiting from his guidance.
