Celtic coach Harry Kewell has heavily praised the club’s captain, Callum McGregor. The former Australia internationalist joined the club last summer and seems to be enjoying life in Glasgow and under new boss Brendan Rodgers.
This week, Kewell has spoken on the official Celtic podcast. He talked about several topics, but his praise of McGregor was outstanding.
The Champions League winner quipped that the skipper leads the way in training, and is the perfect example for his teammates. He said: “Callum is driving the sessions every day in training. He’s always the first one working hard, he’s always the first one sprinting, he never lets the ball down, he’s the first one talking, he’s the first one tackling, he’s the first one pushing everyone.”

From a Celtic point of view, this news is greatly encouraging. Supporters know McGregor is a role model due to how he is on the pitch, but this evidence adds testament to it and shows he does not let up behind closed doors.
