Half Time: Frantic and Refreshing, Young Bhoys Putting on a Show

Well, that was a frantic half of football.

Celtic lead 2-1 at the break and you can’t say it’s not been entertaining.

The young players out to make a point tonight are doing just that. Pace from Patryk Klimala an assist by David Turnbull from an excellently delivered corner kick.

The only blemish is Callum McGregor’s poor backpass which led to the Lille equaliser but he did make up for it with the penalty kick.

If you have ever heard the term ‘Lenny Ball’ this is in full swing this evening. The players full of positive energy and chasing everything down, going for half chances and making positive forward gains.

Jeremie Frimpong had to go off injured after he failed to run off a bad knock into the sideboards at Celtic Park.

Ewan Henderson is now playing in his place in this ragtag side.

We shouldn’t get carried away with the first 45 but I’m particularly excited by David Turnbull. The bhoy could be the spark this season, just giving us something extra in midfield we’ve been missing.
