SEAD HAKSABANOVIC has admitted that the last-minute miss against The Rangers in the Glasgow Derby last weekend will stain his memory of the Cup Final.

The player came on late into the second half, and made a clear impact on the match. He gave the opposition’s backline another thing to think about, and caused them some more problems as he ran at them and found space in behind.
He came extremely close to netting a goal, and restoring Celtic’s two-goal lead. He found himself through one on one with Ibrox goalie Alan McGregor and managed to get the ball past him, but he had to sit and watch as it trickled by the wrong side of the post.
His cameo filled fans with the belief that he was deserving of getting more minutes in Celtic’s upcoming games.
Speaking ahead of the St Mirren Clash, Haksabanovic admitted it was a good day, but his miss will live in his memory when he reflects on the match. [Daily Record]
“We are taking it one game at a time and mostly focusing on what game we are playing at the weekend or a midweek. The team are still hungry and want to win more but we are focusing on St Mirren now.
“We believe in the manager and do it every day in training. We don’t relax, we want to win every game. Everybody is training 100 per cent and wants to take a spot and wants to play.
“It’s always nice to win a trophy and I am very happy. My memories will be of just celebrating with the team, having fun and being happy with the boys. That’s lovely. But I would have a better memory if I’d scored.”
