Celtic target Gustaf Lagerbielke was asked about the interest in him from Celtic this week after it emerged the Hoops were in dialogue with Elfsborg over a deal for the defender.
The Swede is in demand, and with Celtic circling, he was asked about the link. Not saying much, Gustaf only revealed he was honoured by the interest shown in him. He told bt.se: “It’s an honour”.

With Carl Starfelt set to exit the club, Brendan Rodgers has made it clear he needs a replacement. While Nawrocki has come in already, he wasn’t brought in as a replacement for Starfelt but instead as competition. When it was clear Carl wanted to leave, the hoops started looking at bringing in another defender.
Celtic kicked off their season with a 4-2 win at the weekend, with Nawrocki starting his first competitive match. The Hoops now travel to Aberdeen on Sunday to take on Barry Robson’s side.
