CeltsAreHere brought this news to you a few weeks ago and exclusively revealed some of the details of the deal.

The 27-year-old departs Parkhead after five seasons in Glasgow, having arrived from Kilmarnock in 2019. Over that period, Taylor developed into a key member of the squad, playing under Neil Lennon, Ange Postecoglou and Brendan Rodgers, and contributing to multiple title-winning campaigns.
Despite being a regular starter in recent seasons and featuring in all of the club’s biggest domestic fixtures, Taylor’s future had been uncertain with his contract nearing expiry and no extension agreed. Speculation mounted after the Scottish Cup final defeat to Aberdeen, with Brendan Rodgers admitting that ‘the door wasn’t closed’ on a new deal, but a new challenge now awaits in Thessaloniki.
PAOK, who are preparing for another European campaign, have been keen to add Taylor’s experience to their back line. The Greek side are understood to have offered a two-year deal with the option of a third, reportedly on terms beyond what Celtic had proposed.
Taylor’s departure comes just weeks before Kieran Tierney is due to return to Celtic on a pre-contract agreement from Arsenal. The Scotland international is expected to slot straight into the left-back role.
During his time in the Hoops, Taylor made over 150 appearances, won multiple domestic honours, and proved himself a dependable figure on and off the pitch. His contribution, particularly under Postecoglou where he excelled in an inverted role, won praise even amidst competition for his place.
Taylor leaves with the best wishes of many inside Celtic Park and will now begin a new chapter in Greek football.
