Greg Taylor’s proposed move to Greek outfit PAOK has hit a potential snag, with fresh reports linking him to a surprise switch to Denmark.

Just last week, it seemed the Celtic left-back was on the verge of completing a free transfer to the Super League side, with a two-year contract believed to be agreed and an announcement expected imminently. However, that has yet to materialise and now a new contender has emerged.
According to SunSport, Danish champions FC Copenhagen are looking to hijack the deal and bring Taylor to the Parken Stadium. The Champions League club are said to be considering him as they weigh up options for their left-back slot ahead of next season’s European campaign.
The 27-year-old, who joined Celtic from Kilmarnock in 2019, appears set to end his time at Parkhead following the return of Kieran Tierney. Tierney’s five-year deal was confirmed last week, and not keen on playing second fiddle, Taylor’s departure has looked increasingly likely.
The report also claims that two unnamed English clubs have expressed an interest in Taylor. With the defender available on a free and offering a strong level of experience domestically and in Europe, it’s no surprise he’s attracting late attention.
Celtic, meanwhile, have already begun preparing for life post-Taylor, with interest in both Josh Doig and James Penrice, as Brendan Rodgers reshapes his squad for another tilt at the Champions League and continued domestic dominance.
