Greg Taylor Celtic Latest

Greg Taylor’s potential move to PAOK appears to be in limbo, with the Greek club still said to be holding out hope of landing the Scottish defender despite what they reportedly claim is a lack of clarity from the player’s camp, according to a report from Sportdog.

It comes after Mark Hendry reported on his Substack that the left-back is now weighing up a surprise late approach from FC Copenhagen, throwing fresh uncertainty over the transfer.

The 27-year-old was quickly identified as PAOK’s first-choice target at left-back, with the club tabling a deal believed to meet Taylor’s financial expectations. They wasted no time in making their move, but the deal has since stalled.

PAOK have been left waiting for a final decision, with Taylor’s side citing family reasons for the delay, a stance viewed by some in Greece, as a tactic to buy time while other moves develop.

Although the Greek side reportedly still view him as their main target, they are keen to resolve the situation swiftly and are said to have informed Taylor that they want an answer in the coming days.

In the meantime, PAOK have also started identifying alternatives. While Taylor remains their top choice, manager Razvan Lucescu has instructed the recruitment team to seek out other options with similar attributes, in case the deal falls through.
