Greg Taylor Calls Foul on Killie Goal

Celtic strengthened their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon. The Bhoys defeated Kilmarnock by three goals to one as Reo Hatate, Luis Palma, and Greg Taylor got themselves on the scoresheet.

It was a victory the champions deserved, and after the match, the scorer of the Hoops’ third said that his team’s performance warranted a greater scoreline. Taylor also laid out his beliefs on Killie’s controversial goal. He said (Celtic FC on YouTube): “I thought for 60-65 minutes, we were really really good in the game. We created lots of chances and [it] definitely should’ve been more than what the score was. They get their goal, albeit I think it’s a foul one me in the buildup and then we react as all good teams do”

To having their lead cut in half, Celtic reacted well. The Hoops scored to make it 3-1 in their favour ten minutes after conceding. It was the 25-year-old Scotland internationalist who bagged the vital goal. On it, he said: “A great ball in from Matty, Daizen gets the flick and I managed to get my studs on it at the back post so take the goal.”

On a personal level, Taylor will have been delighted to get on the scoresheet on Saturday. It was just the sixth goal he’d bagged in his lengthy career, but it definitely won’t be the last.
