Greg Taylor has shared some special personal news, announcing the birth of his daughter, Ruvie Taylor.

The Celtic left-back had missed last week’s midweek clash against Aberdeen, with Brendan Rodgers confirming that his absence was due to his wife, Laura, going into labour.
Taylor returned to action for the weekend fixture against St Mirren, with Rodgers revealing that he had officially become a father, but he remained on the bench as Jeffrey Schlupp continued his run in the team.
However, the player himself had remained quiet on the news—until now.
Taking to Instagram, Taylor and his wife shared an adorable picture of their newborn, writing:
“Ruvie Taylor. 5lbs 8oz, 27/02/25. Our dream girl, Our Ru.”

It’s a huge moment for the 27-year-old, who has been a key part of Celtic’s push for another league title. While his focus will soon return to matters on the pitch, this is a milestone far bigger than football.
The Scottish international’s contract situation is up in the air, but he probably hasn’t given it much thought over the past few weeks, and understandably so.
His current deal is set to expire in the summer, and he has been linked to a few different moves, but nothing has been confirmed either way, yet.
Congratulations to Greg and Laura as they begin this exciting new chapter as parents.
