Celtic fans gave James Forrest a special tribute this afternoon, as the Green Brigade unveiled a tifo at Celtic Park to celebrate his incredible career. Forrest has now won 26 major trophies with the club – more than any other Celtic player.
On a day when Celtic lifted the league title, Forrest made it even more special by scoring a last-minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw with St Mirren. That goal was his first of the season and means he has now scored in 16 seasons in a row for the Hoops.

St Mirren had taken the lead through Jonah Ayunga, but Forrest’s late strike kept the mood upbeat on a day of celebration. Fans roared as he found the net, with many aware of what the moment meant for one of Celtic’s longest-serving players.

Forrest made his debut back in the 2009–10 season and has now scored over 100 goals in more than 500 games for Celtic. He is the most decorated player in the club’s history, passing the record held by Bobby Lennox.
The Green Brigade’s display showed the respect and love Forrest has from the Celtic support. As the Hoops now gets ready for the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen, Forrest’s experience could play a big role in helping Celtic chase another domestic treble.
