The Green Brigade showed their support to former Celtic star Jackie McNamara during the bhoys 5-0 win against Hearts on Wednesday night by unfurling a banner which read ‘ Keep the faith Jackie!’.

The former defender was rushed to hospital on Sunday night with a bleed on the brain and had to receive emergency surgery.

Jackie has since come round and is said to be awake and talking much to the delight of the Celtic community.

It was great to see the GB wishing Jackie all the best in his recovery.

The Celtic support and Jackie are no strangers to each other and unlike some former players, he has kept a strong bong with the support. Regularly participating in celtic nights up and down the country as well as organising meet and greets for supporters and former players in Scotland and at his bar in Spain.

We hope the message gets back to Jackie that we’re all sending our best wishes.
