The Celtic support have once more shown their kind levels of charity. The Green Brigade carried out their annual foodbank collection at the beginning of the month before the Kilmarnock game, and they have now released the figures from that day.
It is said that seven fans full of food were sent across Glasgow and the West and that over £12,000 in cash donations was collected and distributed around the country:
Thank you for your continued generosity.

Such figures are astounding and display the undoubted generosity of the Hoops’ faithful. The club was founded off famine and oppression, and the fans never seem to forget that.

The ethos of Celtic is apparent in the way the supporters act, which is always incredible. In the future, it is certain there will be continual opportunities for the fans to show what they and their club are all about.
Foodbanks are just one example of how this can be done. Singing songs, flying flags, and supporting the oppressed are other ways that the support show their class at every match.
