The rivalry between Celtic and Rangers has come the fore on social media this morning, with the Green Brigade delivering a cheeky dig at their Ibrox counterparts, the Union Bears.
In a bold move, the Celtic ultras swiped some of the Union Bears’ prized banners, flags, and even a drum. True to form, the Green Brigade couldn’t resist rubbing salt in the wound, posing with the stolen items and blasting out their chants, megaphone in hand. To top it off, they made sure to hang the Union Bears’ flags upside down, a blatant show of disrespect.

The stunt quickly spread across social media, with their images under the caption: “Loose talk costs materials,” a clear jab at the Union Bears for letting their gear fall into enemy hands.
Earlier in the day, the Green Brigade added an extra layer of mockery by showing off a sympathy card they’d prepared for the Union Bears, complete with the message: “To UB. Thinking of you all. GB xx.” This playful yet pointed act was the final flourish.

This comes just two weeks after Celtic beat Rangers 3-0 in the first Glasgow derby of the season. The Celtic fans sent the Rangers team packing at the end of the game and now their ultras have been left red faced.
The Green Brigade certainly know how to make an impact on social media with their antics.
