Green Brigade Make Monday Evening Announcement

The Green Brigade and Bhoys have released a joint statement rallying the Celtic fans behind the women’s side as they challenge for the league title.

In a matter of weeks, the Ghirls went from being nine points behind Glasgow City to just two. With the run in well and truly on and massive games against Glasgow City and Rangers women to come, Celtic are once again opening the doors of Parkhead for the ghirls.

On Thursday May 11, the Celtic women’s side will take to the hallowed Celtic Park turf in the hope of securing a big result against Glasgow City.

The club has made the game FREE to all season ticket holders. On Monday evening, the ultras groups stuck out the communication that both would be attending the game and invited all the fans to get behind Fran Alonso’s team.

The attendance of women’s football in Scotland has been growing but it lags behind other countries. We’ve witnessed a full Camp Nou for a women’s tie and the Emirates has only recently sold out for a Champions League semi final.

There’s no reason why Celtic can’t get big numbers for this game. We’ll be heading along and we hope you do the same!
