The Green Brigade has reacted online after Brendan Rodgers was appointed as Celtic manager for a second time.
The Irishman steps back into the role he vacated four years ago when he moved to Leicester.
While there has been a gradual softening towards Brendan, especially in the last few weeks, there are still some hard feelings from a section of the Celtic support.
Look no further than the north curve account for some of the animosity still festering.
The group posted up the image of the banner they held up at Tynecastle four years ago when Brendan left. The banner read ‘you traded immortality for mediocrity. Never a Celtic, Always a fraud.’
The Green Brigade’s stance on this will likely garner more support for Rodgers. While some may not wanted to see the manager return, now he’s in the hot seat, posting out that image can be seen as an attempt to split the support and club.
We need to be cognisant that to be successful, we cannot be fractured. If the GB don’t get behind the manager, it will be a strange season.
