“Great feeling” – Mulgrew Predicts Celtic Squad Mood Amid Results in Dundee and Dingwall

Charlie Mulgrew reckons the Celtic squad will have a great feeling after the recent results of their title rivals.

Rangers lost by three goals to two in Dingwall on Sunday before faltering to a goalless draw at Dens Park last night.

Celtic now sit firmly in the driving seat in the title race. With five games to go, the Bhoys are three points clear with the next Glasgow derby taking place at Parkhead.

The squad will be feeling confident ahead of the remainder of the run-in, and Mulgrew believes they will have been particularly encouraged by recent events elsewhere in Scotland.

He thinks the Celtic players will have been continually refreshing their phones when Ross County were holding on last weekend. Mulgrew said: [PLZ Soccer] “I can just imagine the players looking when Ross County were 2-1 up, and just keeping looking at their phones, scared to refresh their app to see what the score was.

“It’s a great buzz. You don’t want to be relying on other teams of course, but if a favour happens it’s a great feeling.”

Although results over the past few days in the Highlands and East Coast have benefitted Celtic massively, they still have work to do.

Brendan Rodgers’ men must keep their heads down and continue performing in the manner they have in recent weeks to ensure the title returns to Parkhead in May.
