Gordon Strachan Cleared To Continue Working Behind The Scenes At Celtic

The SFA has cleared former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan to continue his consultancy work behind the scenes at the club.

As reported by Sun Sport, the 64-year old has recently been working as Technical Director of fellow Scottish Premiership side Dundee, which led to some questioning if he could continue his work behind the scenes at the Hoops.

However, any conflict of interest appears to have been looked into and cleared by the SFA, so Strachan is to continue doing both his former role and consultancy work with the Parkhead side.

This work involves a three-month review of the academy setup, B side and women’s team as Celtic looks to make changes behind the scenes at the club, with the introduction of new CEO Dominic McKay in the summer.

The future of these players is arguably up there, with some of the most important work being done at the club, so something must change behind the scenes to aid that.

It seemed like a bit of a strange move at the time for Strachan to be the one to look into this due to his involvement with another SPFL side.

Now that has been cleared, it can now be laid to rest, and we can focus on the restructuring which should take place.
