Celtic left themselves with a tougher task than they would have liked tonight after they failed to put Danish outfit Midtjylland away last week in Glasgow.
A silly error from Barkas allowed the Danish side to bring plenty of confidence into this evening’s game with the tie all square at 1-1. That mistake and a 6-2 hammering at the weekend made sure the Greek keeper was dropped tonight and replaced by Scot Bain.
Despite been a friendly that 6-2 scoreline put the fear into the Celtic fans ahead of tonight’s clash with Midtjylland. The visitors were quiet enough last week at Celtic Park with only two attempts registered for ninety-odd minutes. Nobody is expecting that kind of tame performance with home advantage today.
The first half was a drab affair but Callum McGregor has lit things up at the start of the second half with this absolute peach of a goal.
GENIUS FROM THE CAPTAIN! 😱
Oh my word, what an outstanding volley and such an important goal for Celtic from Callum McGregor 🍀 pic.twitter.com/iEjCLtA5Gk

McGregor once again growing into his new role as Celtic captain. That makes it 1-0 to the Hoops tonight and 2-1 on aggregate but no away goals rules. Can the Bhoys hang on or go one better and give us all an easier night?
