ANGE POSTECOGLOU sat down with Celtic TV on Tuesday afternoon as the dust settles on Celtic’s League Cup trophy triumph on Sunday.
The Australian managed the club to their third piece of silverware under his guidance and it was all the sweeter because we beat our Glasgow rivals in the process.
It’s back to work for Ange and the bhoys as they get set for SPFL action. However, there was a bit of time to stop and smell the roses or at least a nice breakfast for the Celtic manager to exhale before he goes again.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Postecoglou revealed he went out for breakfast on Monday morning with his wife after the events at Hampden and admitted Glasgow seemed a little quieter than usual.
“When I went out for breakfast with my beautiful wife the next morning, Glasgow seemed a bit quieter – so I reckon it was a big night on Sunday!”
The Hoops manager putting that down to one set of fans enjoying themselves on Sunday night, so much so, they were all still probably in their beds!
Celtic were deserved winners on Sunday. Ange managed the game brilliantly and made the decisions at the right time to ensure the bhoys won the game.
Bringing on two new bhoys in Oh and Iwata might have raised a few eyebrows, but Ange’s trust in them was clear to see. They helped see out the game for the Hoops who were unlucky not to make it 3-1 near the end of the tie.
It’s St Mirren next for the club, a place they have had trouble with over the past couple of games. A win on Sunday will put the club one step closer to the SPFL title.
