The Glasgow Derby has become “unwatchable” according to English pundit Danny Murphy.

This season’s derby matches have been played exclusively in front of home supporters. Celtic refused to take the tickets for the first clash of the season at Ibrox, citing safety concerns, before withholding tickets from the Govan side for the New Year fixture.
The Hoops have emerged victorious from each derby this season, with the lack of fans backing them at Ibrox clearly not impacting them.
In 2018, Rangers decided to dramatically reduce the allocation to just 700 at Ibrox, a move that has been mirrored by Celtic.
Reports in recent days have suggested that both clubs began talks to bring back the several hundred fans, however, as we wrote earlier, Celtic aren’t interested in this, preferring to bring back the thousands.
Speaking to talkSPORT, quoted by Football Scotland, Murphy confessed that he turned off the last Celtic vs Rangers game after just 15 minutes, citing the lack of atmosphere as the reason.
“I’ll give you a quick example. The last game they had, I put in for…15, 20 minutes?”, Murphy said.
“I can probably be honest enough to say the reason I turned it over was because of the lack of fan involvement from each other. It just felt unwatchable, it was weird. I think that’s it (the needle missing).”
