Glasgow City Council to Rule on Celtic’s Latest Proposal

Celtic have finally submitted their proposals to Glasgow City Council for the next stage of their development of the Barrowfield.

The club are looking to press forward with the new training facilities closer to home after the success of Lennoxtown.

Barrowfield has been used as a training ground for years but the facilities aren’t up to scratch. The new development is likely to benefit not just the first team but the women’s team and the youth academy.

RegGlasgow have confirmed the the planning has now been submitted and it’s now up to Glasgow City Council to run the rule over the proposal. This part of the planning permission pertains to the indoor facilities Celtic want to build along side a state of the are pitch.

Celtic are pressing ahead with these plans after seemingly shelving their desire to build a hotel on the grounds of Celtic Park which the club do have permission for already.
