‘Give it to them’ – BBC Journalist’s Brilliant Celtic Transfer Post

Aberdeen based BBC journalist Phil McDonald has declared the Dons must secure Celtic loan bhoy Liam Scales at all costs.

The Irishman went out on loan to Aberdeen earlier this summer. Since the Pittodrie side kicked off their League Cup campaign, they’re yet to concede a goal with Scaled at the heart of defence.

It’s prompted the journalist to send out the following tweet.

Scales played in a handful of games for Celtic last season after his move from the League of Ireland.

The player was brought into be a left-back, but couldn’t dislodge Greg Taylor. Alexandro Bernabei has also come in this summer adding to Ange Postecoglou’s options in the position.

Jim Goodwin has made it clear he sees Liam as a left sided centre back and will be playing him there for Aberdeen this season.

He’s off to a promising start, but there’s still a lot of football to be played.
