Give Him Whatever He Wants – Journo Makes Celtic Contract Plea

ANGE Postecoglou has been extraordinary since he walked through the door in the summer of 2021.

He inherited a mess but it didn’t stop him from winning a domestic double in his first season, bringing the league back where it belongs. In his second season, he is on course to win the treble, a remarkable achievement from all involved.

He’s already been linked to countless jobs down south, and will keep on getting his name mentioned if he continues bringing success to Celtic.

The fear is that he’ll be lured away to a big Premier League club sooner rather than later.

In the past, there have been murmurings of a new contract on the cards for the manager but nothing has come out of the club to suggest that the Aussie manager received a new deal.

McGowan has said that the club should offer him whatever he wants, claiming that they must keep Ange around to continue their success.

He told the Press Box podcast:

“He has them [the fans] adoring him [Ange].

” I don’t know how Celtic go about this, but they have to say to him this summer ‘look, whatever you want, if it’s £2 million or £3 million a year, if it’s a giant champions league bonus, we will give you it’.

“Thet need to get one or two more years out of Ange Postecoglou.”
