Celtic striker Giorgos Giakoumakis could be offered a big money move to Saudi Arabia [Scottish Sun].
It was reported a couple of weeks ago that contract talks between the Greek striker and the Scottish champions stalled. There could be a possibility that the Hoops could cash in on the forward in 2023.
Giakoumakis penned a five-year deal when he arrived on deadline day last summer from Dutch side VVV-Venlo after being the top goalscorer in Eredivisie despite being relegated from the league.
It is unknown whether there were any sticking points in getting the original deal done but it now looks as those both parties can’t come to terms with an improved contract.
The 27-year-old didn’t get off to the best or starts in Glasgow with injuries effecting his early Celtic career but despite that he still went on to score 17 goals in the last campaign and became a huge player for Ange Postecoglou in the league.

It can be very difficult to replace goals in football so it could be a risk to sell Giakoumakis in January meaning that it would be much better if both parties could join terms on a gentleman’s agreement although the Scottish champions are reportedly interested in signing a forward.
Last week, the striker also changed agent which could potentially mean that he is on the move.
Although, it is imperative to remember is that Celtic hold all the power in this situation due to the time Giakoumakis is contracted to the club.
Teams in Saudi Arabia are reportedly interested in his goalscoring form with new agent Blash Hosseini likely putting out the feelers as clubs in Germany and England are also tracking the player.
