CHRIS SUTTON has wished Callum McGregor a happy birthday on social media but had a word with the Celtic midfielder about his video celebration.

Celtic posted a video of Callum this morning with a saltire behind him and him putting his arm out in celebration. It usually gets played when the midfielder scores for Celtic on a matchday.

Seeing it, Chris Sutton joked Callum should find his own celebration.

If you were about when Chris was in his prime at Celtic, he used to use the celebration when he got among the goals.

Chris was a fantastic player for Celtic, you forget that sometimes because his work in the media. Signed by Martin O’Neill for around £6m, the Englishman was the perfect partner for Henrik Larsson up front and they terrorised Scottish football together.

Celtic would regularly smash teams 4 or 5-0. This was during a period when Celtic were playing by the rules while others were using tax avoidance schemes to bulk up their team.

I think Callum is good enough to pull off the celebration – Chris has had his day!
