Gers Draw Heaps More Pressure on Celtic Bosses

This afternoon, Glasgow rivals Rangers have drawn 1-1 with Motherwell. In the past, we may have looked at this as a positive thing in the title race. However, with our recent results, it makes it all the more frustrating.

Going into the game at Ibrox we were starting to build up some sort of form and momentum again before that was taken away with the result on the 2nd of December.

To further add to that, the gap has become bigger since then, dropping points in our last two games at home against Hibernian and Livingston.

Ultimately, no one is saying after today’s result that if we had won the title race would have been back on all of a sudden but it would at least start to put a little pressure on those across the city.

Instead, it just cancels out yesterday’s disappointing 0-0 draw against Livi and we find ourselves back where we started at the beginning of the weekend.

This is due to absolutely no fault of our own. Whether that be on the park with performances or off the park with the trip to Dubai which has forced us to be without 13 players in the last two fixtures as well as missing key members of the management staff.

It just adds to what has been an extremely frustrating season so far. Who knows where it goes from here.
