Celtic are set for an overhaul and it really starts today! Neil Lennon is no longer the manager of Celtic football club and that will be announced later today.

John Kennedy will take interim charge and the club will get on with looking for a new manager.

However, as we reported last night, Celtic are already interviewing for a sporting director role, someone to come in and take care of the football side of things while Dominic McKay looks after the business.

If a Sporting Director set up does come into play, it leaves Nicky Hammond in a very vulnerable position. Hammon was to oversee football operations and is in charge of recruitment for the club. His role will likely be untenable in the coming months with a new man coming in.

So Peter Lawwell, Neil Lennon and Nicky Hammond could all be gone this summer.

I can’t envision a scenario where Celtic keep Hammond on as he would be stepping on any Director of Football’s toes.
