Former Celtic captain, Paul Lambert, has left his current managerial post at Ipswich after a season of discontent.
The Ipswich fans have been protesting for change and it was only a few weeks back some of their fans launched fireworks into the club’s training ground while Lambert and his team were in the building.
The club are 8th in League One and toiling when they were expecting to push for promotion to the Championship.

Now, inevitably, the former Celtic midfielder will be linked with the vacant Celtic job.
However, it was only last week when Lambert ruled himself out of holding the post in the future. The Champions League winner seemed irked by the way Neil Lennon was treated by some in the fan base throughout this season.
Lambert seems reluctant to put himself in the firing line even if the job was on the table. It would be very surprising if he was ever in the running.
