Game On? Wednesday Night Celtic Rumour Emerges

The Celtic Underground Twitter page, known for its reliable inside information, has hinted at a potential friendly match between Celtic and Wolves in Dublin. This development comes after both clubs withdrew from a previously scheduled match in South Korea.

Wolves were the first to pull out of the South Korean trip, with Celtic following suit shortly after. In a statement, Celtic expressed their disappointment, stating, “The Club and the players were excited about visiting South Korea and giving our fans the opportunity to see the team, but unfortunately, due to factors entirely outwith our control, we have been left with no other option than to withdraw from the match.”

However, it seems the fixture may not be entirely off the table. The match could be rescheduled much closer to home, with Dublin being the likely host city. This move would significantly reduce travel for both teams and their fans.

Despite the promising news, we would advise caution, urging fans not to book any trips until the match’s confirmation is 100% certain.

Before the potential Dublin match, Celtic have a packed itinerary. The team will first head to a pre-season camp in Portugal, providing an opportunity for the squad to train and bond ahead of the new season. Following the camp, Celtic will then travel to Japan, where they have two matches lined up. One of these matches is notably against Yokohama, the former club of Daizen Maeda, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the encounter.

The first chance the home support will get to see Brendan Rodgers back on the Celtic Park touchline will be for James Forrest’s testimonial at the beginning of August.
