NEIL LENNON spoke on Tuesday afternoon after picking up the SPFL manager of the month for September. The manager was sitting in Lennoxtown feeling more relaxed now the transfer window has closed and he knows exactly what he’s got to work with for now.
There was no major sale for the first time in three years. Moussa Dembele and Kieran Tierney left in consecutive seasons for big money and there was a fear the club would cash in on some or at least one of their prized assets. Quite rightly, there has been praise from the Celtic support for keeping this squad together and adding first team players as well.
The big talking point of the press conference came when Charlie Nicholas and his negative Celtic comments were brought up. The Celtic manager looks visibly irked as he slams the former Celtic player for his unfounded opinion and made it clear Charlie doesn’t speak for him.
