Manchester United has been suggested as the most likely destination for Frimpong, with Aaron Wan–Bissaka likely leaving Old Trafford this summer, creating a need for competition for Diogo Dalot.
Leverkusen are said to be demanding up to £50 million for the former Man City youngster, leaving Celtic to potentially collect a £15 million windfall, due to the 30 per cent sell–on clause in the deal that took Frimpong to Germany in the January 2021.
Celtic fans will be hoping that a bidding war kicks off so that the club can generate some extra cash to reinvest in the team.
