Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Celtic winger Yang will be sidelined for the next few weeks after picking up an elbow injury in last weekend’s loss to St Johnstone.

The 22-year-old South Korean, who has shown signs of real form in recent months, sustained the injury following an awkward fall during the 1-0 defeat at McDiarmid Park.
He was brought into the match at halftime in Perth.
He now faces a spell in a sling and will miss key fixtures as the season approaches its climax.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Rodgers explained to Celtic TV:
“We’ve got Yang that will be out, he’ll have his arm in a sling for a few weeks, obviously he’s had a nasty fall and a slight sprain of his elbow, but everyone else should be okay.
“Hopefully, he’ll be back before the end of the campaign I think, as I said, it’s two weeks in a sling and then we’ll assess it from there.”
Yang will definitely be absent for Celtic’s Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock at Celtic Park on Saturday, which is live on Sky Sports, as well as the Scottish Cup semi-final against St Johnstone the following weekend.
It’s a frustrating setback for Yang, who had been pushing for more regular starts and showing his capabilities in the wide areas.
With Nicolas Kuhn struggling to find form, the winger could’ve been in Brendan Rodgers’ mind for a few starts. The German winger was hooked for the South Korean at halftime on Sunday in the defeat to St Johnstone, showing he is the man behind Kuhn in the pecking order.
