Fran Alonso has revealed his excitement at seeing fans inside Celtic Park next season to watch his women side in action.
Speaking to Celtic TV, as part of yesterday’s season ticket announcement, it was revealed that fans who renew would be given the opportunity to attend an SWPL fixture as part of their ticket when fans are finally allowed back into the grounds.
“Wow! What a feeling it will be. It’s fantastic that they come and get to see us play and also that we’re going to play the match at Celtic Park. It’s great news and I can’t wait for the day when we play the game in front of our fans at Celtic Park.”
Last night, the Ghirls also defeated Hibernian 1-0 away from home making it 11 games unbeaten.
As they head into the final two games, looking to secure Champions League football next season, Alonso was also full of praise for his players.
“It’s unbelievable that this is our tenth win in the last eleven games. It’s been very difficult as we’ve faced Rangers twice, Hibs twice and Glasgow City and still we’re unbeaten. It’s very very impressive.”
On Sunday the Hoops take on Forfar Farmington, before making the trip to face Motherwell next weekend.
Currently, we sit in 2nd place, two points ahead of Rangers and just three behind Glasgow City at the top of the league.
The race for not only the Champions League but also the title is still well and truly on going into the closing stages of this campaign.
