Four More Years: Brendan Rodgers Reacts to Daizen Maeda Deal

In a significant development for Celtic, the club has announced that they have secured the services of their dynamic winger, Daizen Maeda, for another four years. Maeda, who was initially signed under the tenure of Ange Postecoglou, has now committed his future to the Hoops, dispelling any doubts about his role under the new management.

The summer departure of Postecoglou had raised questions about where Maeda would fit into the team under Brendan Rodgers. However, it’s now clear that Rodgers is keen to utilise the Japanese international’s talents.

Speaking about the new deal, Rodgers was full of praise for Maeda. He told Celticfc.com: “Daizen has many qualities that I like in a player – high intensity, attack-minded and his work rate on and off the ball is exceptional. He has played a key role in the team since he arrived, helping to secure yet another Treble for the club so I am delighted we have been able to secure a new deal with him.”

Rodgers further added, “Daizen’s attributes make him a really exciting player, and I am looking forward to working with him.”

This news will undoubtedly be welcomed by Celtic fans, who have seen Maeda’s impressive performances contribute significantly to the team’s success – being part of Ange’s treble-winning side. With his future now firmly at Celtic Park, supporters will be eager to see how Maeda continues to develop under Rodgers’ guidance.
