FORMER Premier League referee Dermot Gallagher quashed any theories that Rangers* should’ve been awarded a penalty in their latest derby defeat.
Striker Morales goes down in the box after losing control of the ball thanks to a quick-footed Jozo Simunovic who clears the danger, and the player goes over him.
The former top flight red says Morales ‘made’ the foul and it was in no way a penalty.

It’s clear for all to see and not so clear for the people who don’t want to see it.
Also, the Referee quashed the noise from Pedro Caixinha about Scott Brown allegedly elbowing Morales in a separate incident. Again the referee uses his experience and common sense to show that there was nothing in the elbow but perhaps Rangers* were due a foul for the player backing in.
