Some Celtic fans have been partying in Thailand during the worldwide corona outbreak at the land of smiles Celtic supporters festival which kicked off on Saturday and runs through to March 20th.

The event is taking place in Pattaya, Thailand and raising money for selected charities.

With so many things cancelled across the world this hasn’t been one of them. Celtic fans have been partying and having singing sessions around the bars since the festival started.

Former Celtic player and coach Alan Thompson is at the event.

Thailand has a very low rate of people who have the virus at this moment. Whether that’s a lack of testing or not is unclear. The Bangkok post reports 177 have the virus.

We hope all the Celtic support out enjoying themselves are taking care as they go about their holiday.

We must say, the preparation which has gone into the festival is pretty incredible and everyone involved should give themselves a pat on the back.
