Former Man City Boss Interested in Celtic Job

Paul John Dykes from A Celtic state of mind let his followers know on social media Mark Hughes and his assistant Mark Bowen would be interested in talking to Celtic about the vacant managerial position.

Celtic’s long chase of Eddie Howe ended in calamitous fashion when Howe pulled out of the deal at the very last minute leaving Celtic in disarray.

Celtic are now in a race against time to get a new management team in place before the start of the season and by next week if we’re honest.

The clock is ticking and Celtic are looking around at their depleted list of targets and wondering what to do next.

John Paul had Mark Hughes on the podcast not so long ago and has kept in touch with the former Manchester City boss.

They’ve obviously had a conversation since Eddie Howe dropped out and Hughes, currently out of work, would be keen to discuss the role.

This has given way to many people saying they are interested in the Celtic job and that doesn’t mean they should get it.

Mark Hughes would not be a universally well received appointment.
