Former Ibrox Star Ronald Deboer has told SunSport he believes Celtic deserve to win the title this season if the rest of the games cannot be played.
DeBoer was one of the famous Gers players who was treated to an EBT back in the day where The Rangers managed to land a lot of talent using what turned out to be an illegal scheme.
Watching from afar, the former player can see the writing on the wall and knows Celtic we’re on their way to another title victory.
While in his affinity towards his old club wants to see them win the title again — he’s clear who should be champions.
“I’d love to see Rangers win the league again after all this time but you have to be objective.” De Boer told SunSport.
“Celtic are well clear at the moment and like Liverpool in England, they deserve to win it.”
He did insist neither could call themselves champions which is a bit of a contradictory statement and maybe one born out of the affinity he has to the Ibrox club.
UEFA have been talking about sporting merit which places the 30 games played by clubs as much more important than the last eight games still to play.
