MATT O’RILEY was asked if he had been contacted by either Stefan Johansen or Paddy Roberts about his move to Celtic. The duo were both at Fulham while Matt was there but neither reached out when he signed for the Hoops.
Instead, Matt told how former Ibrox flop Russell Martin contacted him to give him the lowdown on Glasgow and what to expect when he made the move.
Martin was a former coach of Matt’s and wanted to make sure he was prepared for the environment. Playing 15 games for the Ibrox side during his 2018, Martin thought he was well placed to give out some advice.

Matt has really hit the ground running at Celtic and slotted into the first team effortlessly.
The midfielder has helped Celtic get to the top of the league in his short time in Glasgow and he’s looking to go from strength to strength in the coming months.
