Flint’s arrival comes at a crucial time for Celtic, as they remain competitive in the Scottish Women’s Premier League 1, trailing Rangers by just three points. Her previous stint at Celtic was marked by impactful performances and goals, making her a fan favourite and leading to high hopes among supporters for a permanent deal.
Her transfer to Liverpool in July was seen as a major step in her career, driven by her impressive impact at Celtic. However, limited game time at Liverpool, with only two appearances since joining, paved the way for her return to Celtic.
Flint’s signing is seen as a key strategic move for Celtic. Known for her goal-scoring abilities, she brings a much-needed boost to Celtic’s forward line. Her familiarity with the team and the league is an added advantage, potentially allowing for a seamless integration into the squad.
The addition of Flint to Celtic’s roster is not just a response to the immediate need for strengthening the squad but also a signal of the club’s commitment to maintaining a competitive edge in the league. Her arrival could be pivotal in Celtic’s pursuit of closing the gap with Rangers and making a strong push in the latter half of the season.
