FORMER Celtic striker Tony Watt is back in Scotland and training with Celtic’s main rivals Aberdeen as he looks to win a deal with the Scottish Cup and League Cup runners up.
Tony has been about a bit since his time at Celtic and even had a short loan stint at Hearts back in 2016.
He revealed in his Open Goal interview that Aberdeen were keen on him before his last move to Belgium.
“When I left Celtic it was Belgium or Aberdeen. Derek McInnes was brilliant and was always phoning my agent.
“He was the right manager for me but I just needed to get out of Scotland at that time, so I was buzzing about Belgium.
Now he has returned to Scotland a free agent, Dons boss is giving Tony an opportunity to train and win a deal at Pittodrie.
Yesterday Tony tweeted about lacing his boots up again.
Laced the boots back up today! Lovely feeling 😅👀❤️⚽️

Tony can’t play for another club this term and would have to sit out until the start of next season if he wins an Aberdeen contract.
