CELTIC have acknowledged former fan favourites retirement after Paddy McCourt hung up ho’s boots this week
The former Celtic midfielder who was and probably still is a bit of a cult hero around these parts played a pivotal role in his club, Finn Harps, gaining promotion before bowing out of professional football.
Paddy was appreciated by the Celtic support for the things he could do for a football, in full flight the player was on another level.
Sadly his fitness levels were never on a par with his outstanding talent and he didn’t manage as many games as he should have for the bhoys.
It was nice to see Celtic acknowledge his final game.
๐ซ #CelticFC would like to wish all the best to former Hoops man, @PaddyMcCourt15 as he retires from professional football.

The Irishman got injured and had to come off prematurely in his final match but his career still ended on a high with promotion being won.
A new challenge awaits the Derry Pele with a job waiting for him in his hometown with Derry FC.
Paddy will head up the youth system in Derry.
