Olivier Ntcham’s tenure at Celtic has been a subject of complex emotions and contrasting performances.

Despite being a good player under Brendan Rodgers, his relationship with Celtic’s board and management, particularly under Neil Lennon, faced significant strains.
Ntcham’s abilities on the field were evident; he delivered crucial performances when it mattered most, showcasing his talent and potential which many believed could have been further developed under different managerial guidance.
He got a loan move away during the COVID season, but that went bad before he could even start, with his new manager speaking out against the player and fans turning their back on him because he was a PSG fan.
When he returned to Celtic, despite the new manager and CEO, Ntcham still had his heart set on leaving the club. So, the two parties agreed it was best to rip up his contract.
Reflecting on these strained relationships at Celtic, Ntcham said, quoted by RecordSport: “I had some disagreements with the club because they didn’t want me to leave. I left anyway and because of that, we had a very bad relationship. But I don’t have any bad thoughts towards Celtic. At the end of the day, this is football and football is like that sometimes. I wish them the best and I was very happy while I was there.”
