Former Celtic Star a Pawn in £80M Transfer Spree

Once signed by Neil Lennon for Celtic and a pivotal man on the night Celtic downed Barcelona in the Champions League, Victor Wanyama could be on the move this summer as Spurs look to spend big.

According to MirrorSport, the midfielder is attracting interest from Fernabahce and as he’s already on the periphery of the squad looks set to leave this summer.

The report claims the London club are looking to wrap up two new deals amounting to £80million.

  • Lo Celso – £60m
  • Ryan Sessegnon – £20m

This would make Wanyama surplus to requirements and in need to get off the wage bill. The midfielder is still under contract with Tottenham until 2021 so he doesn’t need to move unless the deal is right for him.

Wanyama was a very popular player at Celtic, it’s a shame the player is now outwith our capabilities in the transfer market. The type of return Celtic fans would savour.

Victor made 91 appearances for the bhoys in his time at the club.
