Former Celtic Midfielder Signs Lucrative Three-Year Deal

Former Celtic winger Lewis Morgan has signed a brand new three-year deal with MLS club Inter Miami.

The 24-year old left the Hoops to join the American side which is owned by former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham in January last year and has enjoyed a good spell at the club so far.

Morgan was voted as the club’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) last season scoring five goals and providing eight assists, alongside players such as Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi.

Many were surprised when the winger departed the club as ex-manager Neil Lennon appeared to be a fan of him as a player deploying him upfront in certain games, including last seasons Betfred Cup final.

It is good to see Morgan enjoying his football over in the States after an ambitious move to go and try and make a career elsewhere in Miami.

If he keeps up the form we have seen from him so far, it wouldn’t come as much of a surprise to see him move back to a club in the UK especially with the age he is at.
