Former Celtic goalkeeper Pat Bonner reflected on the team’s dramatic 3-3 draw with Rangers at Ibrox, suggesting that while the team will be disappointed not to have secured a win after leading twice, they will ultimately feel relieved to have escaped with a point.

Speaking about the match’s implications, Bonner emphasised the positive aspects for Celtic moving forward in the title race.
Speaking to the BBC, Pat Bonner said: “When Brendan Rodgers and his players go back and reflect, they’ll be disappointed they didn’t win, but they’ll be relieved to get out of here with the draw.
“That still sets them up to retain the championship. They still have Rangers at home. Rangers haven’t beaten them yet, and that’s critical for me.”
Celtic have been to Ibrox twice this season and have taken four points. While the draw is a tough one to take, especially given the positions Celtic had gotten themselves in, but it does leave Celtic’s title hopes in a good place. The league is still in their hands, with a derby at Parkhead to take place after the split.
Rangers travel to Dundee midweek to play their game in hand, before heading to the highlands to face Ross County at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Celtic will host St Mirren next weekend.
