Former Celtic Goalkeeper Linked With Moves Down South

Former Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon has been linked with moves down south, as teams in the English Championship and League One track the 38-year olds contract situation.

Since leaving the Hoops in 2020, Gordon has spent the last two seasons with another of his former clubs, Hearts.

Now, captain of the Edinburgh side, who are enjoying a decent first-half of the season, it was largely expected that the veteran shot-stopper would sign a new deal to finish his career at Tynecastle.

However, according to Edinburgh News, several English clubs in the 2nd and 3rd tier are now looking to tempt the former Parkhead keeper for another spell in the English leagues, with his last coming at Sunderland in 2012.

It will certainly be interesting to see if Gordon is on the move come the summer, with his performances between the sticks being crucial in Hearts performances so far this season on their return to the top flight.
